There is today in Amsterdam, great alarm is given when the chemical company Sonneborn Refined Products in the Western Port area. The company is located next to the A5, the highway there in both directions closed.
At the unloading of a tanker truck came a small amount of sulphur trioxide free. That dust caused by inhalation of severe acute health impacts.
By the released material was a white, visible cloud that spread rapidly. The fire department reports that that cloud is now gone and that there is no risk to surrounding land and buildings.
The A5 is out precautions still in both directions closed at the junction with the A10.
Sonneborn Refined Products, where the message comes from, is a wholesaler of liquid and gaseous fuels.
