Collectors angry scratchy PostNL Telegraaf.nl

"For collectors, this is an unprecedented disaster!", says Martijn Bulterman, chairman of the Dutch Association of Postzegelhandelaren (NVPH). He sees not only the beloved day stamp disappearance of the stamps, they are a scratch also 'effectively destroyed'.

    sell collectible

"The stamps have no sell collectible more. A stamp with the pen tool is validated, it can straight into the trash can."

PostNL has since January 1, the hand-operated composing sticks at post offices and other locations to let them fall. All items with a barcode, or postage prepaid by stamps, are no longer stamped but with some ink from an ordinary pen.

Only through the verzamelaarsdienst Collectclub of PostNL can collectors their stamps still stamping, but this option takes the NVPH is not serious. It delivers a lot of red tape and the stamping is uniform and identiteitsloos'. In sorting centres is still stamped but these outdated metal rolstempels be collectors are also not happy.

    Mint

“PostNL says that this is effective, but for collectors in both the Netherlands as abroad, this is terrible”, says Marike Timmermans, spokesman of the NVHP. “A mint stamp without a stamp is the most worth it. Then stamps with a day stamp. A postage stamp with a scratch is worth nothing,” explains Timmermans.

Foreman Bulterman puzzled. "The popularity of personalized stamps increases day after day. Abroad the stamp a lot more valuation, and the value is recognized. There is no country where there are so lousy to deal with the stamp as in the Netherlands."

    Understanding

A spokesperson for PostNL knows the complaint of the collectors. “Since January, the processes are simplified,” she says against this newspaper. “The dagtekenstempel is abolished. We understand the disappointment, and we are in conversation with each other about alternatives.”
