According to the employers’ association AWVN there is a “catch-up”. For many of the relevant collective agreements is that in recent years no or low wage agreements have been made.
The recent collective agreements for higher education and the counties were for instance wage increases of 3.65 percent and 2.2 percent respectively agreed. In January, the CAO wage increase in the public sector was even higher than in the private sector.
One explanation could be found, according to the employers’ association in the improvement of the situation of public finances. Part of the wage increases in the implementation of the wage agreement last summer, though by CNV but not signed by FNV.
A total of thirteen new agreements have been concluded in February. The average wage increase amounted to 1.5 percent.
