Consumers’ wants to get rid of Tick for conscious choice – NU.nl

That’s why the union begins the campaign ‘ Down with the Checkmark . Thousand consumers were questions presented on the check mark.

Almost 80 percent do not know just what the finches and 85 percent do not know what the difference is between the green (healthy choice) and blue (deliberate) Checkmark . It also gives Checkmark too little information about how healthy a food.

The green check mark is given to products that can be found in the Pyramid. Blue Check Marks represent a better option within a particular product, such as snacks with fewer calories or soft drinks with less sugar.

The Checkmark is created by Foundation Choices, founded by Campina, Friesland Foods and Unilver, and is intended to assist consumers in choosing healthier products.

A spokesman for the foundation Choices Monday morning could not give a detailed response yet
