“Dijsselbloem must intervene at ASR” – NU.nl

The Consumers’ Association sent a letter to the minister. According to the federation must Dijsselbloem ASR forced to treat his customers just profiteering.

Customers have received a so-called Waerdye-life insurance would more than compensate thousands of euros other customers, and which had a similar insurance. This ASR has created great inequality, according to the Consumers’ Association.

Claim Organization Awake Polis, who also represents the interests of customers with Waerdye-policy, supports the call to the Minister and ASR. If the call is not benefiting to the minister, the Consumer Association and Awake Polis go to court.

Unacceptable

The issue has been playing longer. Consumentenbond showed last September to know the state of affairs can be found unacceptable for ASR and will appeal to the business accordingly. When it was all said that if ASR itself no action would take it Dijsselbloem than it should. It was also already threatened to go to court. ASR is the former insurance division of Fortis and since 2008 in the hands of the State.

ASR has said that customers in recent years have proactively approached for solutions to their profiteering. Some customers could not find the path chosen by ASR. With some of them it was agreed an individual settlement in 2013.

This takes into account their specific circumstances and financial position. These customers ASR then requested to be reluctant to share their solution. This could have happened to create unrealistic expectations of others
