Restart for women’s fashion house La Ligna – NU.nl

The women’s fashion house was declared bankrupt in February, but the curator is Wednesday at NU.nl known that there is a restart.

A group of investors, including part of the management of La Ligna, came up with the best offer. “Of the nine geïnteresserde parties remained finally about three,” explains curator Jasper Berkenbosch out. “The group of investors had the best guarantee that the damage to the stores would be limited.”

A total of 210 employees. 135 thereof may be employed under the same conditions they already have, Berkenbosch assures.



Groningen

La Ligna in existence since 1984. The first store opened in Groningen. Later, branches were opened in other cities across the country. The stores sell include women’s blazers, dresses, skirts, sweaters, tops and blouses. La Ligna also has a shop.

The company has long suffered loss, said financial director Martijn Franssen earlier. While the company brought back the costs, sales fell and did not avoid bankruptcy.



Rent

Ultimately it a bankruptcy came when the company came up with a debt of 10 million euros to sit. Attempts to settle with creditors ended in failure.
