UPDATE The Dutch brewer Heineken has the takeover bid by SABMiller, the second largest brewer in the world, rejected . That made Heineken late last night announced through a press release. Bloomberg made earlier in the day notification of the tender offer.
“In response to the speculation in the press Heineken NV said it has been approached regarding a potential acquisition by SABMiller, Heineken,” it reads. Heineken’s bid in his own words discussed, but decided not to go. On Also gave the brewery from Amsterdam to know “the heritage and identity of Heineken to want to retain as an independent company.”
The bid from the parent company of Grolsch was intended to protect interest of Anheuser Heineken -Busch InBev, known from Budweiser, Corona and Stella Artois.
