The ranking Allianz is based on the net assets per capita. For Dutch was that in 2013 an average of 71,430 euros, 3.8 percent more than in the previous year.
Only in Switzerland, the United States and Belgium have the lake dwellers. Compared to the previous rankings Netherlands has risen a place from 5 to 4.
The whole world has become richer in 2013. The total power of private households
worldwide grew by nearly 10 percent to a record high of 118 billion euros. 
According to Allianz is due to well-performing stock exchanges in Japan, USA and Europe.
