Vodafone: 4g network is now 'nationwide' – Tweakers

Vodafone says its 4G network ‘nationwide’: in 95 percent of the Netherlands is now a 4G signal from the provider to receive. KPN’s 4G network in the spring already ‘nationwide’, T-Mobile says that point next year to reach

The communication is Vodafone so the second provider nationwide coverage claims: KPN. Did that already in April, T-Mobile will only follow next year. Tele2 has been building its 4G network, but a year or nationwide will be quickly, is still unknown.

Vodafone which cover mainly achieved through the conversion of antennae for 4g- signal at 800MHz, a frequency band which allows to cover large, sparsely populated areas. In many cities, the provider also uses the 1800MHz band, with which higher speeds are

possible.

Although Vodafone now calls itself the network ‘nationwide’, uses a definition which 95 percent of the Netherlands is covered. The coverage is thereby in many areas behind the 3G and 2G coverage of Vodafone. On its own coverage map of the provider is to see how in all provinces areas, especially sparsely populated rural areas and nature, has not been covered yet. Also along the border there are holes. At KPN, there are still gaps to be seen in the coverage map for 4g.
