The union says this based on a meeting with staff of the Amsterdam branch of the large Swedish group. Next week, the union another meeting where further steps are discussed.

The list of complaints

from the union is long. The occupation is too small to carry out all the work. In addition, people are constantly removed from their regular place elsewhere in the jump. As a result, the work remains on the fixed area. That does not happen occasionally but it is a structural problem, according to the union.

The staff also complained about an intimidating atmosphere. People who go into the lead with a complaint, get a negative review, says the union. Employees are also totally unexpected to the manager called for bad news conversations.

The union demands that Ikea adheres to the collective agreement and an end to the “overshot flexibility.”
