Beursplein 5 investors were processing a flood of business results. Insurer Aegon went down considerably after a commercial message.
The AEX index rose 0.7 percent in negative territory at 431.59 points. The MidKap fell 0.6 percent to 639.90 points. The indices in Paris, Frankfurt and London dropped to 0.9 percent.
Aegon, had 9.1 percent of its stock market value lost. The insurer was hit in the first quarter due to the turmoil in the financial markets. Therefore, the profit fell by 50 percent to 143 million euros. CEO Alex Wynaendts pointed out, however, that the capital position of Aegon still amply meets its own goals.
IMCD
In the medium-sized stocks fell chemicals distributor IMCD and construction company BAM. IMCD was the table with a gain of 4.4 percent, after well received by investors quarterly. BAM tumbled 7 percent. Although the group returned to profit, analysts spoke of a weak start of the year.
The shares of secondment DPA and juice and soft drink producer Refresco Gerber moved quarterly updates. DPA won 3.5 percent, while Refresco was a big loser with a drop of 3.5 percent.
Sif
Foundation Builder Sif went Thursday to the fair. The opening share price was 14 euros. After about three minutes to act was a minus of 0.4 percent on signs, to 13.95 euros.
Elsewhere in Europe was also a large number of companies with numbers. French bank Credit Agricole lost 4.6 percent in Paris. Webshop Zalando, had lost 3.8 percent in Frankfurt. At the fair in Germany energy company RWE did go up after a trading post, by nearly 4 percent.
The price of oil fell slightly. The price of a barrel of American oil fell 0.1 percent to $ 46.19. Brent oil was 0.1 percent lower at $ 47.54 a barrel. The euro was worth 1.1410 dollars against 1.1435 dollars at the close of European stock markets Wednesday
