On their own blog underlined NVIDIA again with their collaboration with Nintendo for the new Switch console. About really specific details, let the company nothing loose, but the new GPU would be according to the company, in the same way constructed as current high-end NVIDIA GeForce cards.

Nintendo Switch is powered by the performance of the custom Tegra processor. The high-efficiency scalable processor includes an NVIDIA GPU based on the same architecture as the world’s top-performing GeForce gaming graphics cards.

According to the blog post. NVIDIA stresses that the entire technical architecture of the Switch is re-built. Of video playback to new API’s and game libraries to quickly navigate from game to game.

For the Nintendo Switch is of course also of interest that the console mobile can be used, so that players are able to seamlessly switch between home play and road play. To that power, the powerful tablet-like shell to stuff, was reportedly the most difficult task for NVIDIA.

Has the unique Tegra processor enough power to also go high-end games at 720p-resolution display? And how long can the battery there at last? We patiently await more details and information about Nintendo’s progressive new console, and handheld. Around march next year, the Nintendo Switch is already in the shop.
