Leaders of the Belgian federal government and the regional governments gathered since Wednesday morning early in an attempt to ensure, particularly in Wallonia to meet. Deputy prime minister Didier Reynders said earlier in the afternoon that no longer is asked to make new texts, and that an agreement is within reach.
However, there are still “technical corrections” to the legal uncertainties, according to the prime ministers of the Walloon government and the French community of belgium, Paul Magnette, and Rudy Demotte, Thursday evening.
According to Reynders there is now “stable text,” writes the Time zone. “We want the talks with the other European partners are now expected to continue. Belgium should gradually show that a position can take.”
be Realistic
Demotte does not think that signing the eu-Canadian summit on Thursday is realistic. The premiers want a any chord still attached to their parliaments to submit, they said during a break.
According to Reynders, the ambassadors of the EU member states are ready to come together as a chord. Their approval is also required for signing. The EU-Canada summit which that must happen, is still planned for Thursday. But the chance of that going on, is very small considered.
The Flemish prime minister Geert Bourgeois has called it impossible that the summit Thursday still takes place. But an official confirmation by the EU or Canada was there at the beginning of Wednesday night have not yet.
Arbitration
Magnette had particularly objected to the separate courts of arbitration such disputes between countries and companies to settle. This is now a text which agreement, said Reynders.
“We now need to work on clarifications for the agricultural sector.” He expressed the hope that an agreement on.
Hope
Earlier Wednesday, said the president of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker is still good hope that the Belgian federal government and the Walloon government on Wednesday will be.
“It is not of importance when the treaty is signed, it is important that it is signed”, he added.
