Collective labour agreement for 380.000 employees in the care
The trade unions NU'91 and CNV Care & Welfare and the employers ‘ organisations ActiZ and BTN have a onderhandelaarsakkoord reached for a new collective bargaining agreement in the nursing homes, home care, and healthcare (VVT).
FBZ considers the onderhandelaarsakkoord as a eindbod. The parties involved are happy with the result, that is good for the development of the industry, and does justice to the efforts of our staff. FNV Care & well-being there Friday morning, October 14 early, unfortunately, chosen the agreement to be signed. ActiZ and BTN regret this enormously. If they agree, there is a new collective bargaining agreement for 380.000 employees in our industry!
Structural wage increase of over 4%
In the cla VVT, contains agreements about wage development, career development, healthy and pleasant to work with, reducing administrative burdens and improving the image of the sector. The cao VVT has a term of two years: from 1 april 2016 to 1 april 2018.
Themes and events negotiation result cao VVT
The parties to collective bargaining have the following appointments were made:
- An increase of wages with structural more than 4%. A part of it by the year-end bonus (now 5.7%) in steps to increase to a full thirteenth month (8,33%). It is also followed by two pay increases: 0.65% in October 2016 and 1% by July 2017.
- Employees will get in december 2016 and in February 2017 a one-off payment of 1.2%.
- From January 2017, employees are also ORT paid for their vacation and holidays.
- Everyone who in the past 5 years ORT has received, will receive a back-payment of over may not be enough to receive ORT. Thus we have a good solution for the ORT file found for all the employees in the sector.
- The verlofmandje is reduced by 21.6 hours. There is (again) a scheme for paid leave in situations of grief, faith, and kraamverlof. This is one day freed, and two days of leave are included in the salary.

- Additional impetus for education and training, so that there is sufficient (high) trained staff is to provide the right care to the growing group of heavier-care clients in a decrease of absenteeism in the sector and a pleasant working atmosphere and environment.

About the process
The negotiations for the new collective labour agreement in the care on may 3, jl. started between the four trade unions, ActiZ and BTN, after a kick-off meeting on march 31, jl. The collective bargaining agreement negotiations were led by an independent chairman, Jaap Uijlenbroek, professor of industrial Relations Public Sector at the Albeda Chair of the University of Leiden and the CAOP) in The Hague.
