“Municipalities hold an estimated money to care ‘- NU.nl

This enables the journal Internal Administration Friday based on data from auditors, financial statements of individual municipalities and a perception that the Association of Dutch Municipalities (VNG) and the Transition Authority for Youth (TAJ) sketches.

the municipality of Deurne has a plus of 2.3 million euros on the healthcare budget, according to the figures. Overbetuwe claimed budgeted 26.5 million euros for the carers, holds 2 million euros.

Teylingen (14.8 million budgeted) amounts to an increase of 1.7 million euros. A complete list can not be given yet, because not all municipalities have the annual figures all in a row.

Surplus

The largest surpluses are needed in the post WMO. Regarding the youth, the picture is more mixed. The previously dreaded mega-deficits seems in any case the question.

Gijs Oskam, financial specialist of the VNG, told Internal Administration that municipalities “nice” seem to come from the WMO budget. The budgets for youth he calls “tight and uncertain”.

Discussions

Internal Administration expects the final figures will soon give rise to discussions. The surplus may indicate that the ministries, when they were still responsible for caring responsibilities, have been too lavish in providing help.

But there will probably also churches who claim that the distribution of the government funding is global.

Comments

Several organizations respond to the outcome of the investigation. If a municipality money for care has, which must still be paid to people who receive care, as the Dutch Patients Consumers Federation (NPCF) let you know in a comment. “Money on hold is not the intention. People think they can not get custom because the money is not there. If the money is right, that offers space to spend it well to better tailor”, is the view of the interest group.

Older ANBO Bond says that municipalities communicate poorly with people who need help. “If people do not know what to apply, it is not surprising that there rises a little money.”
