Metals closes principle agreement on CLA – NU.nl

The agreement includes the stipulation that the 140,000 metal workers have more control over their working hours and can expect a wage increase of 5.9 percent.

Metal FNV and CNV Professionals have long to negotiate the agreements. “Cessation helps, it appears from this collective agreement,” Jos Brocken FNV says. “There are over a wide area agreed. These form the basis for the modernization of industrial relations in the metal.”

Peter de Jong CNV Professionals is enthusiastic the result. “We have this agreement in principle deterioration proposals from the employers reached the table. A collective package remains that I present dare to our members with peace of mind.”

Wage increase

The first wage increase for the metal workers arrive by April 1, it is an increase of 2.1 percent. In 2017, following a rise of 2.25 percent. In 2018 followed by an increase of 1.55 percent, and 1.1 percent on-time payments.

The agreement will be final only if the union members approve it. In principle agreement puts an end to the strikes which lasted nine months
