PostNL ponders future foreign operations – nrc.nl

PostNL going to fit in the coming months to see if all foreign operations still with the company. The reason is that the rules for each country constantly changing, making it difficult to work for the postal service. That made topvrouw Herna Verhagen today at the first-quarter figures.

PostNL next Netherlands operates in Germany, Italy and Britain. A few days ago, still PostNL announced that a joint venture in the latter country has gone awry. Partner LDC withdrew because of the “ever-changing postal market and the complexity of the rules.”

PostNL has made more sales in the first quarter of this year, but have less profit from that. The turnover amounted to 1.058 billion euros, an increase of 2 percent. Net profit decreased from 54 to 34 million.
