A 16-year-old boy has been arrested for the wildfire in Cham, police reported. The fire raged until yesterday evening and sixty acres of forest went up in flames, part of a refugee center was temporarily evacuated.

The boy, coming from Breda, was arrested this morning after a tip. Police think the fire is lit and suspects the boy thereof. Police hears the boy is locally still working on technical research.

Although the location of the fire in the nature reserve Chaamse Forests was difficult to reach, the damage is not too bad. Forestry Commission says that there is a lot of underbrush burned and many trees have survived.

Because the fire was spreading quickly, are probably killed many lizards and other animals. The area also hatched nightjars. Those are probably flown away, but their nests are lost
