Restart for Miss Etam and Promiss – AD.nl

The curators of Etam Retail Group have reached an agreement on a relaunch of the Miss Etam stores and Promiss by a consortium of investors from retail. That made the trustees announced today.

Etam was declared bankrupt in April by the court in The Hague. The administrators had with several parties negotiating a restart. The details of the restart the next time will be developed and announced later.

The staff of Miss Etam and Promiss has today been informed of the restart and all the shops stay open just yet. It employs approximately 2,000 people at Etam.

Clarity
The parties expect mid-May to give clarity about how the restart will take place. Until then, no further statements will be made. The relaunch will be submitted for review to the Authority for Consumer & amp; Market (ACM).

According to the curators provides the bid alongside a good yield for the estate the best opportunities for continuity and employment. A spokesman for the trustees did not give any comment on the substance, but said that it is clear that will have to be reorganized in the company.

Strong
loss-making Etam counts approximately two hundred branches in the Netherlands. Of these, 140 carry the name Miss Etam, the remaining sixty under the formula Promiss. The head office and distribution center are located in Zoetermeer.

Recently, though reorganized twice sharply. In January Etam deleted hundred jobs at its headquarters. In 2013, 140 people lost their jobs.
