The value of listed Dutch equity funds in the first quarter compared to the previous quarter increased by EUR 101 billion, to a total of 735 billion euros. It is the largest increase since the last quarter of 1999. The increase is mainly due to rising prices. This was reported by De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) today.
Since 2007, the volume of Dutch shares was moreover not exceeded the 700 billion euro. The low point was reached in the first quarter of 2009 with a market value of 266 billion euros.
Since the revival of the Dutch stock market from mid-2011 took more Dutch companies listed, according to DNB.
During the quarter were companies such as Grand Vision, Lucas Bols and Refresco Gerber a new listing. The total amount of new share issues came in the first quarter amounted to almost 1.6 billion euros compared with 850 million euros in the last quarter of 2014
