A Dutch citizen was arrested in Uruguay, because he would be involved in “the greatest fraud in the history of the country.” In total, there would be 37.5 million euro fraud in the South American country, reported the newspaper Espectador.

The fraud allegedly committed by the Dutchman, Paraguayan customs officers, Uruguayan shops and a European. They would have used a flaw in software that controls the payment transactions with credit cards. The payment went through the bug is not as usual.

This error occurred only with Maestro cards in Paraguay. The customs officers knew of the mistake and traveled to Uruguay to buy jewelry there, tourist stuff, expensive mobile phones, televisions and computers. Which then crossed the border to Paraguay. Sometimes the gang stuff sold in Argentina to keep it going as surgery.
