Buyers of a new home may soon also after the completion the contractor still liable suggest defects. Now that is only visible to hidden defects and errors in the opleveringsdag themselves are noted and recorded on a list.
Later buyers or clients may also require the contractor to repair deficiencies that they have seen or had can see, but forgot to write down the delivery list. This is contained in a bill of Minister Stef Blok (Housing) where the government has agreed today. He thus wants to strengthen the position of clients.
The plan covers new homes and serial construction of homes. Renovations to one house is not covered, says a spokeswoman for the Minister.
Blok also wants to have a different system of quality control and a better distribution of responsibilities. He hopes that the changes in 2016 may be remembered as the parliament has agreed
