In July, the number of bankruptcies nationwide take off again. According to figures from Statistics Netherlands.
The number of companies that went bankrupt declining for years. In May 2013 peaked the number of bankruptcies to continue to fall thereafter. The lowest point was reached in August 2015.
Also in the north, the number of companies that went bankrupt in recent years, relatively low. In Groningen and Friesland, there is now, compared to last year, there is a small increase. Drenthe ten bankruptcies this year were less pronounced than in July last year. The graph below shows how the number of bankruptcies has developed in recent years.
Major operators
