Employee in the healthcare sector experiences the highest operating pressure – NU.nl

according to a Wednesday and published research of the Central Bureau for Statistics (CBS) and the research institute TNO. For the ‘National Survey on working Conditions’ (NEA) asked the research staff from different sectors to their perception of the workload in 2015.

more than half of the employees in the health and welfare sector says “often a lot of work to have to oppose”. Also says 43 percent “often very quickly to have to work” and 35 percent “extra hard work”. The percentages in the care are significantly higher than those in other sectors.

According to the researchers, the working pressure can be lowered by employees more autonomy. The autonomy of workers in the health and welfare would be fairly low: 46 percent of the employees in these sectors said the tempo of work to be able to determine, compared with 57 percent of the Dutch employees in total.

Currently there are almost 1.2 million Dutch people in the health and social welfare services. Are 480.000 employees active in the healthcare and 680.000 in ‘care and welfare’. This last category includes jobs in nursing homes, home care and child care. 83 percent of the employees in the health and welfare sector is female.
