The history of Palm brewery dates back to 1686. Opposite the church in Steenhuffel runs Theodoor Cornet, steward of Diepensteyn Castle, an inn with home-brewed beer.
The inn In 1747, a small village brewery under called Den Hoorn. In 1908 succeeds the brewery thanks to industrialization outside the municipality to sell its beers.
In the eighties Palm gets a second growth market when the Dutch consumer is going to emulate Belgium, according to the brewer desire a Bourgondischer life. In 1990, Palm is a joint venture with the lambic brewery Boon in Lembeek. In 1998 Rodenbach brewery is taken.
In all, Palm has approximately 250 employees. Palm annually produces 1 million hectoliters of beer, which is sold in 32 countries. The company’s turnover amounts to 55 million
