UTRECHT – [Update 20:33 pm] KPN’s failure in the Utrecht city is over

In contrast to previous reports of KPN, the problems lasted a little longer than planned. KPN previously expected that the fault would be fixed around 18:15. After that was reported around 19:00 that it still “could last for hours” before everything was back in order.

According to RTV Utrecht were few customers in the downtown area around 19.30 again pins, calling and mobile internet. Nevertheless, the majority is still affected by the failure. A good 45 minutes later everyone was reconnected to the KPN network.

For the ATMs of banks that have a fixed line stood since the outage long lines because people needed cash to make purchases. On RTV Utrecht entrepreneurs said they thousands of euros per hour all due to malfunction during sales on a holiday. They are considering to claim damages at KPN
