In the second quarter of 2015 the number of mortgage applications has increased tremendously. No less than 80 percent made more requests compared to the same period in 2014. That leaves the Mortgage Data Network (HDN) today to know.
In total, in April, May and June, 97,000 mortgage applications made. The number of applications has been rising since 2013. The HDN has revised its forecast for the full 2015 from 240,000 to 300,000 applications. The network detects approximately three-quarters of all mortgage applications.
HDN think thank the explosive rise is “the combination of the improving housing market, the tightening of lending standards for consumers on 1 July 2015 and the first interest rate rise ( and) after a period of a few interest rate cuts “
