“Greece must do more ‘- Telegraaf.nl

BRUSSELS (Reuters) –

The meeting of finance ministers of the eurozone countries (Eurogroup) on Saturday night just past midnight. Sunday’s consultations on a request from Greece for further financial support, as announced by the Finnish Minister Alexander Stubb on Twitter

Greece does not simply count on the other euro countries are willing to talk about a third support package. The country will have to come up with more and better proposals before the eurozone finance ministers (Eurogroup) the light to turn green. It must be particularly specific, with also a planning if certain reforms are implemented.

The Eurogroup is working on a joint declaration, in which Greece is called next week a number of promised reforms actually to go into laws. For example, the Greeks demonstrate good will and win impaired confidence.



Tsipras

The statement will be prepared for the political leaders eurozone coming Sunday to Brussels. Also among them is confidence in the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras low. Most euro area countries do not find the Greek proposals submitted sufficient or are very critical about the feasibility or the effect of the measures. Moreover, lacking confidence that the Greeks really do what they promise.

Athens this week filed a formal request for financial support from the European rescue fund ESM. A day later, Athens produced a list of reforms and austerity measures. Reportedly Greece would ask 74 billion, including € 25 billion for the Greek banking sector
