In Lelystad taken Monday the world’s first mobile algae refining plant in operation. It is a pilot plant. Which should explore the possibilities of extracting example, proteins, oils and carbohydrates from algae more widely. So far this only happened in laboratories, with smaller quantities.

Algae consist of many valuable ingredients, have a very high growth rate and can easily be grown on barren ground. Scientists see them therefore also known as the leading crop of the future.
