The ICT problems VUmc since yesterday it suffered after a power failure are over. Since 10.30 the systems run stable again, reports the hospital today. As a result, patients with acute problems again welcome.

A power failure fell yesterday around 9:45 major ICT systems. Emergency generators took power after two minutes, but that was the ICT problems still not resolved. The power failure has not led to serious problems.

The problems could include doctors and nurses no longer with electronic patient data. A number of planned non-urgent surgery was postponed. Ambulances took patients who urgently need help therefore had to other hospitals.

Patients on their own came to the emergency room were still helped. A spokesman explained earlier of:

“You can not, of course send them to another hospital.”

The VUmc has all night working on solving the problem. This morning, the systems are extensively tested and they seem stable. According to the medical center Therefore, all patients again welcome.
The hospital has launched an investigation into the cause of the external power failure. Is also considered how this could lead. To such great ICT issues The hospital offers anyone who has suffered from his apologies. (AP)
